The symbol of divine power and light

>>>>>

What associations are you getting when you hear the word “dolphin”?

Alexandra from Germany thinks that the dolphins represent grace, mystery, purity, swiftness, intelligence and salvation.

Lena from Israel imagines a sea wave with foam, drops of water on skin and a child playing with a dolphin.

Her daughter thinks of pure sea water, sunset and friends.

Albina from Ukraine considers that the Dolphin is kindness and humanity itself… with the fins.

They all think that the dolphins are smart, kind and the humans’ friends. Nobody doubts that this is true.

Dolphins are mysterious creatures. They are so different from us and so close to us. If people lived in the sea, the dolphins probably would take the place beside us that the dogs have now.

They are smart, playful and are easily being tamed. It seems, they like us as much as we like them. Dolphins become our dream in the childhood and stay it for many years.

Mutual love of people and dolphins started many centuries ago.... How has it happened? Maybe, because dolphins have natural habit of pushing the sinking creatures out of water... either dolphin-babies or humans? The legends of the dolphins, who save the shipwrecked have millennium history.

The Dolphin is the power of the sea, the King of Fishes. It represents safety and swiftness. No wonder that it has become not just people’s friend, but one of the people’s lords. Pictures of the dolphins are often to be found together with the pictures of the lords of the Ancient Greece.

In Christianity it has become the symbol of resurrection and salvation. It represents Christ as the savior and as the bearer of the souls over the waters of death. A dolphin with a ship or an anchor depicts the Church guided by Christ; in Christian art this sometimes replaces the ship of the ark of salvation and rebirth. A dolphin pierced with a trident or an anchor is Christ on the Cross.

In other cultures the Dolphin represents:

Celtic: power of waters.

Greek: a psyhopomp guiding souls to the Isles of the Blessed. It is light and the sun, also it is the Sea power.

The symbol of the Dolphin brings calmness and confidence to your soul. Put it on when you want to feel the support of the divine power and light. You are friendly and kind, and hopefully the other people will feel the same when they see the symbol of the Dolphin on you.
