What can bring the most admirable smile into your face?

>>>>>

It is not a secret that a smile can make you pretty and even beautiful. Your smile looks more sincere and charming if there is a memory of a magic thing that happened in your life. A small symbol of that event will work as an effective switch for your charming smile.

There is a small bright bird, that is believed to be a symbol of beauty for centuries. It is a hummingbird. Have you ever seen it?

I saw the hummingbirds on Gabriola island (BC, Pacific ocean) the first time in my life. I have got an expression of one of those miracles that mother nature gives us as a precious gift. I could not stop looking at them. They were extremely unusual, pretty and fun. They were bright and elegant. They made the island into a piece of Eden for me. I like to extract that memory from my mind.

My husband remembers his first hummingbird too. He was dirtbiking in a forest in BC. The last thing he expected to see was a hummingbird at the moment. Suddenly it came from nowhere, stayed in the air for a few seconds and disappeared nowhere again. It was a bit of magic that made all his day.

Tiny fast and happy birds somehow make us feel happy when we look at them. We are smiling when we think of them. We become happier and we are more willing to make people around us happy too. I look at this as a reason why the birds and even the images of them have become a symbol of beauty.

I wondered if the symbol worked only for people who have actually seen the birds before. I asked a few of my friends, what they felt and thought of the hummingbirds.

Irina told that a hummingbird was something like a butterfly in her mind. Then I asked her what she thought a butterfly was. Could it be a symbol of anything to her? Then she said that that could be a symbol of beauty. Well, the chain of associations we have here is a hummingbird - a butterfly - beauty. This answer satisfies me completely.

Alexandra thinks of them like of the insects, maybe more like the bees than butterflies. They are purposeful and fragile in her mind. When she thinks of them she has feelings that our life is transient. The one's life should be bright, because it is so short. We should enjoy every moment of it.

Albina's mind takes her straight to symbolism. She does not think of the hummingbirds as the birds at all. There is nothing there, but the image located in the Nazca Desert. Why does the bird remind Albina about this mysterious story? Why does this little bird make her think about enigmas? Well, she cannot answer these questions. I asked her if she had any idea why there was an image of the hummingbird made by Nazca people. And the only answer she could come up with was "it is just art. They wanted to make something admirable".

I got the evidence that I was looking for. The hummingbirds do affect people who have seen them in nature and even people who have never seen them. They make us smile. They put us in a good mood. They make us think about life, beauty and nature's enigmas. They are a real symbol of beauty and can serve as an amulet that can bring the most charming smile into your face.

The hummingbirds makes a great amulet for people who are looking for love or wish to keep it as fresh and exciting as it was at the beginning. A smiling and happy person looks more beautiful and attracts love. To personify the amulet even more, a wearer may add a gem either chosen by his or her zodiac sign or by qualities of a stone.

My hummingbird brooch became the first bird image in my animal and bird symbolic jewellery. I had made it before I even thought about the birds' symbolism. It was a subconscious process in my mind that pushed me into making it from the very beginning. I wanted to make something admirable... and I made a humingbird!

I remember all my feelings of looking at the birds in nature. When I hold my silver image of it they become vivid. When I have it with me I am feeling the delight of seeing a miracle of nature again. My most charming smile appears in my face.
