Sometimes I ask myself questions and go to Internet to find the answers. This time I asked myself:
How many women do like the pearls? What do they think of the pearls? I searched through the forums and read what people told of them.
I found out, that nearly all women liked pearls. There were some women who told that they did not like it, but very few.
Here is my article where I used the results of my little research.
Why do I use pearls in my designs so often?
Do I really have to answer? I just love them as much as other 99% of women do.
Pearls are awesome, gorgeous... Absolutely splendid! They are elegant, classy, charming. They bring instant soft radiance and neatness to any outfit and make it sophisticated by adding a "wow" factor.
You can never go wrong with pearls. They are stylish and timeless. Some people think, that only their grandmothers liked them... yes, they did, but it is because the ladies in age fell in love with the pearls when they themselves were very young. They have been loving them since. There is something really girly and feminine about them... that almost all women can feel... They feel it since the beginning of time, probably, since the first pearl has been found in an oyster. How was it born? That was a mystery for our ancestors.
The pearl was thought to be the result of lightning penetrating the oysters, hence it was regarded as union of fire and water, both fecundating forcers, and so denotes birth and rebirth and fertility. It also symbolises innocence, purity, virginity, perfection and a retiring nature.
The meanings that the pearl had in different cultures:
Buddhist culture: the crystallisation of light, transcendent wisdom, spiritual enlightment, pure intentions.
Chinese culture: the pearl of perfection, the spiritual essence of the Universe, also enlightment, feminine principle, immortality and potentiality.
Christian culture: salvation, Christ the Saviour, the World of God, baptism, virgin birth, purity, spiritual grace.
Greco-Roman culture: Love and marriage, emblem of Aphrodite/Venus, the "lady of the pearls", who rose from the waters.
Iranian culture: The Saviour, giver of life, birth and death, longevity.
Islamic culture: The Divine World, heaven.
How to wear pearls?
You can wear them with nearly everything for nearly every occasion. You can never go wrong with pearls.
Especially white pearls are versatile. They match any mood, outfit and skin tone. They look simple, but classy whether have them for formal occasions or casual wear. You can wear pearls with a small black dress or some ripped jeans, bridal dress or vintage stuff.
Pearls are a must for an everyday stylish lady!
I wear them on everyday basis. How about you?
